Rose thought what she could upcycle, and decided she wanted to save something from the bin and make good use of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She decided to make a flower pot out of an old plastic bottle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After taking off the label and cutting it in half it was ready for filling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compost and a sunflower seed were added to the half of bottle and given a good watering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will now wait for it to grow and will keep checking to make sure that the bottle has done it’s job as an upcycled flower pot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Always think about upcycling and try to find new uses for things you might throw away.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Don’t throw away any good materials such as bottles or boxes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Be careful when cutting bottles as might have sharp edges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Make sure you are safe with scissors or supervised.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Make sure you research and plan carefully before starting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Think about final location and materials used, e.g cardboard in the rain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. If in doubt check with an adult first.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Decorate to the max.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Make sure all materials are clean before starting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
